Autumn is such a lovely season in Devon! The colours are richer, the skies are a deeper blue and the sunsets take on the hues of boulder opals. With long shadows and crunchy golden leaves underfoot, it is hard to return from adventures with the dog on the commons, yet the lure of my workbench with its own colourful delights is as strong as ever. I have been lucky to be able to buy some stunning new stones in Germany this year and I will be returning there to buy more in October.
We are soon to be moving to our new house, a new-build project that has been all-consuming at times but which is also enormously rewarding as we have been able to contribute a lot into the details. Work has been going on for well over a year and we are impatient to finish, but it is a project that will not be rushed, there are still big decisions to be made.
The last few months of 2019 will also see an upheaval as I move my studio into its new home. Please don't hesitate to contact me with requests for jewellery, I will try to manage the transition as smoothly as I can but there may well be a few delays until I am fully set up and functioning normally again.
